In the fight for climate action, young people around the world have banded together to prove you’re never too young to make a difference. Inspired by these young activists, children and their accompanying adults are invited to join us at this intergenerational banner-making workshop led by visual artists Nina Ross and Hanna Tai. The workshop will empower young people and their grown-ups to shape the world they want, and harness the power of art and creativity to make their voices heard on issues that matter to them. At the end of each session, participants will parade their banners around the Convent grounds.
Only children require a ticket. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Convent Kids is a year-round program developed by the Abbotsford Convent Foundation (ACF) for children and families to explore and create art together. Delivered in collaboration with leading artists and educators, Convent Kids is designed to foster lifelong engagement with the arts and improve educational outcomes by firmly placing children at the centre of arts and cultural activity.
Many thanks to Hanna Tai for collaborating with me to run the sessions.
