Jessie Scott, Lizzy Sampson and I designed, conducted and published research on working as an Artist/Parent in Australia.

Titled Culture of Silence: arts parents accepting, rejecting or adapting to an unfriendly workplace the survey addresses the difficult working conditions artists parents face as well as providing practical solutions for galleries and individuals to support working parents to create a more cohesive and collectivised workspace. The website is also a resource for artists parents.

Our Art/Parents research has been published in Care Ethics and Art Edited By Jacqueline Millner, Gretchen Coombs, Routledge. Titled Soiling the White Cube: Artists Parent Experiences, discusses our findings, paid work and being an artist during the COVID 19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns in Melbourne.
